The week in review, Friday the 13th Edition:

The best thing about the week of North Korea nuclear bomb discussion was the frequent use of stills of Kim Jong-Il from Team America.
Muckraking Russian journalist was assassinated. Probably had nothing to do with her expose on the torture of Chechen rebels. Much less tragically, cursive was pronounced dead.
The non-science Nobel Prizes were awarded, Orhan Pamuk in literature and Muhammad Yunus and the Grameen Bank in peace.
The US population got close to cracking the 300 million mark. And then it got even closer. Are we there yet?
