The search is over for missing New Hampshire congressional candidate Gary Dodds, who vanished from the scene of a one-car accident near the Great Bay on Wednesday night. Police were baffled when they came upon Dodd's empty car in a ditch off the southbound side of the Spaulding turnpike in New Hampshire. Dodds, who suffered a concussion in the crash, thinks he must have swerved to miss a deer and gone off the road. Although the rest is a little hazy, he remembers stumbling through the woods believing he was on fire, jumping into the nearby Bellamy River, swimming to the other side, and covering himself with leaves and pine needles to stay warm. In a strange twist, investigators have found that no drugs or alcohol were involved.
