Thomas Kostigen’s New Book

  • Posted by: Andrew Price
  • on June 20, 2007 at 5:03 pm

Thomas Kostigen is a journalist and author who writes about the environment, public policy and business (he writes the “Ethics Monitor” column for Dow Jones MarketWatch, a sisyphean task in itself).

He has a great column on the Huffington Post today arguing that green politics can, and must, bubble up from the local level.

The Green Book, which he co-authored, went on sale yesterday. It’s a handbook of sorts for the environmentally-friendly lifestyle, with tips from Dale Earnhardt Jr., Will Farrell and Justin Timberlake. Not kidding.

Oprah picked it up but we thought it could use an extra bump.

Wrangler Ponders the Nature of Being

Wrangler—the preferred jean of Brett Favre, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and most of the country—is now the preferred jean of existential contemplation. At least, that's what its new ad campaign suggests. How did this thing get a green light? Why is the narrator French? Why does it recall the sort of short that would screen during an episode of Mike Myers's "Sprockets" skits from Saturday Night Live? Maybe you can enlighten us. Video after the jump.
