Tired of the HAITI issue

Yes I think it's nice for the US to help HAITI in their time of need but what irritates me and bothers me most is how the govenrment and everyone are sooo willing to throw billions of dollars at Haiti yet there are still people here in AMERICA suffering from hurricane Katrina.People in New Orleans who still dont have homes and cant eat. Not only am I upset for the people in New Orleans but for the mother of the little girl who needs money for a transplant....why couldn't AMERICA raise the money for that child rather than watch her die....what about the little boy living in the projects who ccan't eat everyday.Why didn't America raise money to feed him.I understand those people in HAITI need our help but I feel we as americans should take care of HOME FIRST.
