After a visit to Argentina while competing on The Amazing Race, Blake Mycoskie was inspired to build a business that helped the shoeless children he met there. He launched TOMS Shoes in 2006 with design inspired by the Argentine Alpargata. The company runs on the one-for-one model: every pair purchased here, will pay for a pair in the developing world. This week, four years later, they hit one million pairs of shoes sold and donated. Congrats! (Here is TOMS' thank you video)
