I just read the book Water For Elephants and i loved it. I
thought the story was so warm and true to life– captivating and funny
and sad and romantic- it had everything. I became totally fascinated by
elephants after reading it, they are the most magnificent creatures. you can get the book here if you haven't read it yet, there are some used copies for under a dollar.
When my friend over at creative visions sent me this link - a story called Water for Elephants.

The Elephants of West Africa are dying of heat and thirst - On Monday some photos appeared of elephants in Mali- who already live in some of the harshest conditions- scorching heat and devastating droughts, and now its gotten worse.
The photos are heartbreaking - elephants covered in dirt, laying in a dried up well.
