In news about votes in Washington that you may have missed, the House today voted to reject the anti-gay marriage amendment. It wasn't even close. This was a totally symbolic vote, because the Senate had already killed it. But they voted on it anyways, just to get people mad. Elsewhere, the Senate passed a stem-cell research bill, a bill on which the President has vowed to use his veto powers for the first time. Because this is the most important thing that's come up.
