One of the problems often cited in criticizing the $100 laptop is the fact that, in this day and age, a non-internet connected computer is a pretty useless piece of machinery. Children in underdeveloped nations need to be able to connect to the world, not word process, so just giving them a computer doesn't do much. Enter Green Wi-Fi, who are making solar powered wireless routers. Then just one internet connection can be expanded to bring an entire internet worth of porn to a village equipped with $100 laptops.
