Winner: Design a Better-Looking Libya Leaflet

Last week we asked you to design a better-looking Libya leaflet to replace the ugly—not to mention ineffective—ones NATO was dropping on Tripoli to try and compel pro-Gadaffi fighters to lay down their weapons. Our only directive was to use the slogan NATO had been using for its flyers: One Libya, One People. The rest was up to you.

It's been a week, and after sorting through the many submissions, our design team has chosen a winner, seen above:

We chose Laura Debole's "One" leaflet for it's creative use of iconic imagery weaved into a simple typographic message. The simplicity of the sentiment is elevated with the use of the banned weapons for the Os and the flags for the Ns, creating a new context that fits in line with the positive message needed in Libya right now.

Congratulations, Laura. And thanks to everyone else for submitting. Click through this slideshow to see the best of the rest, in no particular order.
