So, people were going crazy (see Keith Olbermann do his thing on it here) that the new detainee bill would eliminate the right of habeas corpus (you know, inalienable right that goes back to the Magna Carta ), we thought people were exaggerating. Maybe the bill technically did that, but no one actually was going to be able to be held without trial or justification. Turns out, we were way wrong.
