It might sound trite after the recent presidential election when President Elect Obama won more votes than any Democrat since LBJ, but every vote matters.  The current fiascos in Minnesota and Georgia underscore the power that a single voter can yield.  Hotly contested races that were too close to call hold the fate of the country in their hands.

After convicted felon Ted Stevens conceded the Alaska senate race last night, the stakes are even higher: if the Dems take both open spots, their filibuster-proof Senatorial majority could allow the Obama administration to drive through its legislative agenda with few obstacles.  The process has begun in the Land of 10,000 Lakes as comedian Al Franken and incumbent Norm Coleman battle through a recount to claim the US senator seat.  A similar process is underway in Georgia as the big dogs from both parties are stumping for their candidates in the Peachtree state.
Interestingly, in case you might have missed it, we covered this issue a few weeks ago in GOOD Sheet #7 that was distributed in exclusively Starbucks retail stores across the US. Check it out here.
