Every part of this house was recycled or upcycled—shipping containers make up the basic structure, the roof is made from flattened aluminum cans, and glass bottles and newspapers were recycled for the insulation. It also has recycled plastic floors, recycled bricks, and recycled windows. All of this means huge energy savings for construction. One question: how well will it save energy during use?
