Where Auckland, New ZealandWhen 04/08/2013
New Zealand is a small country. We have a total population of 4 million. The GDP is around 124> billion. 2 million of us do not work for various reasons. I love my country and think that that is ok. As a nation 30% of income comes from the land.(milk cheese etc) As a nation we have not developed ourselves economically enough to replicate the income received from this sector.
We as a nation went through a so called reform process around 1984-1987. Then we were hit with the stock market crash.
It was during this time that the community I am involved in (the building Industry) were hit very hard. Many well connected building companies lost their market share and were unable to compete with the more efficiently and better connected business peers.
The regulators have tried without success to steam the tide of economic failure for a good 25 years. The current representative bodies in NZ are duty bound to support their funders not their members. It would be my dream to stop this.
