A different look at the LA River

It's had cameos in "Terminator 2", "Grease" and other Hollywood films, but always as the waterless concrete monster running through the city of Los Angeles. As a result of some unpredictable floods, the banks of the LA River were turned to concrete in the 1930's and in the following years the river was for the most part forgotten.

Today there is a major effort to transform the LA River into its full potential and revitalize it into a real river that transforms communities.
