A New Zealand Perspective on What it Means to Innovate

Michael Barnett, Chief executive of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and Industry, defines innovation as "developing new products or improving existing technologies, processes, designs, and marketing to solve new problems and reach new customers". Unfortunately, New Zealand is generating innovative ideas, but not turning them into commercial successes internationally.
