A provocative way to never forget, relatives of Holocaust survivors honor loved ones

"I decided to do it to remind my generation: I want to tell them my grandfather’s story and the Holocaust story,” 21-year old Eli Sagir says of the tattoo on her forearm. Sagir and other young Israelis have branded themselves with the number that their grandfather or great Aunt, etc. was inflicted with while surviving the concentration camps during the Holocaust. This act is not meant to be disrespectful, but instead is meant to echo the cries of a disappearing generation: "Never again."
