Akin, Mourdock, Ryan, Rivard, etc.: Voters heard your rape commentary and paid you back at the polls

Heard of Todd Akin? Sure. His "legitimate rape" comment sparked a national conversation, one heavy with disgust and disgrace by Democrats and Republicans alike. Heard of Richard Mourdock? Sure. His suggestion that impregnation because of rape is "something God intended" was just as disturbing. But what about Roger Rivard: "Some girls rape easy"? Or Linda McMahon, who introduced us to "emergency rape"? The good news: None of these candidates were re-elected. We can all breathe a little easier.
