Applications Available: Sustainability Leadership Program
This summer, Chicago'sSustainovate Immersion program will empower sixteen leaders to build theircapacity as agents of change in the sustainability movement. Thismultidisciplinary, holistic, and rigorous undertaking teaches participants theknowledge and skills necessary to forge a more durable future.
Designed for youngprofessionals and recent graduates, this program consists of hands-onassignments for real clients, meetings with leading local innovators, fieldtrips, and readings. Participants leave with increased sustainabilityunderstanding, experience, and connections.

Sustainovate Immersion is a program of the ForesightDesign Initiative, a nonprofit organization that fosters a more sustainableChicago (http://www.foresightdesign.org).This program, formerly known as the Urban Sustainable Design Studio, is in itseighth consecutive year. Past Immersion projects have included working withlocal government to create disincentives for plastic bags, consulting with amuseum on how to incorporate sustainability principles into exhibits, and re-thinkingsolutions for local food systems. The program is taught by Foresight ExecutiveDirector Peter Nicholson, who is often called one of Chicago's best-connectedsustainability professionals.
