Banning Plastic Bottled Water: The U of Vermont Did It; Could We?

The University of Vermont is the largest institution to have banned the sale of plastic water bottles on its campus. BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle), the University suggests, instead of buying Evian or Aquafina, and the campus has "retrofitted refill stations" to keep students and staff hydrated and happy. But some argue this ban "restricts free choice." Will other universities soon follow suit? What are other solutions for sustainability?
