Bloomberg Foundation Awards Providence Top Prize in National Contest of Ideas

Mayor Taveras will be awarded $5 million from the Bloomberg Foundation to fund his initiative aimed at improving education among the youngest Providence population. His plan is to monitor the number of words their hear every day in an attempt to increase vocabulary by age 4.
