CalConnect Social Networking Site Launched for Groups working on Public Health
As part of its new, 10-year strategic direction of Building Healthy Communities: California Living 2.0, The California Endowment has launched CalConnect, a social networking site created specifically on the premise of sharing the experiences and information with the 14 communities selected for this initiative, policymakers and health experts throughout the state.Designed for easy use for the late bloomers to the social networking scene to those tweeting veterans, CalConnect allows the user to create, connect, collaborate, mobilize and change California into a healthier state. Within minutes, the user can load pictures that show the spirit of their neighborhood; share an amazing idea on how to move their policy with a colleague in City Heights or Boyle Heights; or connect with experts in the health field. Check it out here.
