Cut Down on Your Waste to Help Feed 7 Billion People
The U.S. wastes over 40 percent of its food. You can help cut down on this waste by committing to doing a few of the following this week: Eat ugly food: Did you know that a lot of good produce is thrown away because it's bruised or too small for retail? Compost your leftovers; throw away less food; juice your old produce; freeze items to make them last longer; eat your leftovers; make a shopping list and plan your meals so you don't buy too much food.
