In the late 60's up to '72 the songwriting team of Jeff Katz and Jerry Kasenetz were proving bubblegum was a viable music style. They became so popular in 1968 under the banner of the Kasenetz-Katz Singing Orchestral Circus with groups like the Ohio Express and the 1910 Fruitgum Company that Hannah Barbara asked them to collaborate in producing a new bubblegum psychadelic cartoon in the vein of H. R. Puffenstuff. It was to be called Captain Groovy and His Bubblegum Army, but it never made it. This is one of the songs it's short life left for us.
