Students Tackle Carbon Emissions Using Smart Phones to Share Rides

During the first week of the semester at Santa Barbara City College I came across some amazing students at an outreach table promoting a new smart phone app that coordinates carpooling among students. Here's how it works: you create a profile, set up then post trips, and riders contact you either through messaging you or calling. The app can be used on iphone, android, or computer/tablet. This ride sharing app can be implemented at any institution/work place/even by a neighborhood. Cool
