The GroundTruth Project produces a journalism fellowship called Special Reports on GlobalPost that provides a training ground for burgeoning foreign correspondents working in the digital age.
For this fellowship, 20 reporters will have a chance to create multimedia projects that explore the youth unemployment crisis. Fellows will examine how unemployed youth can be mobilized to do good instead of sitting idle or becoming destructive.
The work will be done in ten different target countries, such as Nigeria, Egypt, Brazil, Spain, and Kosovo, where the issue of youth unemployment is becoming a rising problem.
The application deadline is December 31, 2013.
