Day 18: Pay It Forward
When 03/18/2013
About a year ago, I read an article about a man who walked into a coffee shop, bought a drink and, as you would expect, pay for the drink. Enter the twist. When the cashier went to give him back the rest of his change, instead of taking it, he told her to keep it and use it to pay for the next person's drink. Lone behold, the next customer came and, when it was time to pay, was told to put away their money because someone had already covered them. This is where the story gets really good. Instead of just picking up a free drink, they proceeded to pay for whoever would come after them. Moral of the story, no good deed goes unnoticed. So whether it be helping a stranger out with the spare change they don't have, offering someone a hand, or even just passing along a kind smile, a little bit of kindness can go a long way, especially when it's unexpected. Hopefully this story put a smile on your face and you're now ready to pass along the love. Happy Monday, Everyone!
