Day 4: Compliment a Friend/Coworker/Stranger
It's a new week and the first full week of March; time to spread some more love around as Spring is rapidly approaching. For some reason, a lot of people or, to say the very least, a lot of people that I know (including myself) find two very important things difficult:
1. Taking a compliment. But more importantly...
2. Giving a compliment to someone who we can't help but take note of their hard work, great outfit, or kind gesture; this becomes particularly hard when we don't know them. We feel as though somehow, by pointing out that we've noticed these things, we're intruding on them. But today, and for the rest of this month, while it might seem awkward and uncomfortable at first, if someone does something, anything that you appreciate or that you know they've had to work hard to achieve, let them know that you've noticed!
Even if it seems out of place in the moment, in the long run, a little more respect, admiration, and appreciation never hurt anyone.
