Design, Build, Inspire! Hands on science and engineering projects

Where 12815 South Western Avenue, Gardena, CA 90249When 03/09/2013

Recognizing the many hours children spend beyond the classroom walls, scientists, engineers and teachers are partnering for an all-day interactive workshop to encourage parents and families to explore science with their children at home. Hosted by Iridescent, a science education non-profit that boosts science teaching and learning for underserved children, the interactive program equips parents and families from underserved communities with tools, questions, and activities that can help support their child’s learning about nature, technology and engineering. The workshop is a part of the “Design, Build, Inspire!” (DBI) series, which seeks to empower scientists to share their work with students and instill youth with a greater interest in science.
