In the third volume of his autobiography, Bertrand Russell, a British "philosopher, mathematician, historian, and social critic" wrote "A Liberal Decalouge," a list of 10 commandments that "as a teacher, I should wish to promulgate." His must-read list has some sage advice for 21st century educators (and learners)—"Do not feel absolutely certain of anything"—is commandment number one.
