When children testify in court, it's typical for them to be accompanied by a comfort item like a teddy bear. But when a 15-year-old girl had dog Rosie help her testify against Victor Tohom for sexually abusing her, public defender David Martin appealed the case, saying that the dog caused a distraction from contradictory evidence. Fortunately for the girl, the court ruled that Rosie still had a job to do. In fact, courthouse dogs are allowed in 18 U.S. jurisdictions. Photo courtesy of Getty Images.
