Electronic friends: the future of robots
Japanesse astronaut Koichi Wakata wants to make sure he has some company with him as he travels to the ISS next year to become the Expedition 39 commander. The solution? A humanoid robot measuring 13 inches tall and weighting 2.2 pounds. Sources say the robot will “live” in the Japanese Kibo module of the space station and will eventually return back to Earth. Would you feel less lonely? Or just a little creeped out?
