Elegant Geometric Pavilion Built from Recycled Wooden Pallets

Using salvaged wooden pallets, Italian design firm Avatar Architettura transformed flat pallets into a gorgeous, geometric pavilion for Villa Romana's German Institute of Culture, located in Florence, Italy. Created as a temporary outdoor multifunctional space for arts and performances, the recycled pallet pavilion uses a series of customized metal joints to hold together slices of the original pallets, which are stacked and assembled in a diamond-shaped pattern.
