Felix Baumgartner Flies Faster than the Speed of Sound to Break World Record

A 30 million-cubic-foot helium balloon hoisted a 3,000-pound capsule carrying the daredevil. He reached 833.9 mph, or mach 1.24, which is faster than the speed of sound. No one has ever reached that speed wearing only a high-tech suit.
