Films and Dialogue About Genocide and Female Empowerment at MU's Third Goal International Film Festival
MU will screen the Sundance World Cinema Audience Award winner for Drama "Kinyarwanda" at the Third Goal International Film Festival on Feb. 2. The film, which was written and directed by former Peace Corps volunteer Alrick Brown, narrates six stories about survival and betrayal during the 1994 genocide against the Tutsis; Brown draws from actual genocide testimonies to tell this story. Other films that discuss issues of labor rights, female empowerment and conservation will be screened after.
