Finally an education reform approach that gets me jazzed.

We need education reform ideas that match the complexity of the education system, empower teachers instead of denigrating them Rhee-style, and acknowledge the dominant role of non-classroom factors like poverty or immigration status. This gets much closer to that than most I get to see, with all due respect to great folks trying their best.
