Fold or Rethink: Is a Civil War Brewing Among Teach For America Alumni?

Is it time for Teach For America to either close shop or drastically reform its model? Dr. Julian Vasquez, an education policy and planning professor at UT Austin cites a growing number of prominent articles written by TFA alumni calling for the organization to change as evidence that a "civil war" could be on the horizon. As one alumnae wrote in the Harvard Crimson, "..if you join TFA, you will most likely have a neutral or negative impact on the academic gains of the students that you teach."
