In 2004, after a personal experience with human trafficking, I founded Lulan. My goal was to generate livelihoods for artisans, create job stability and help prevent human trafficking in the most at risk populations. Over the last nine years, Lulan has built relationships with artisans and cooperatives in five Southeast Asian countries, and created a business model that achieves the dual goals of purpose and profit.
