Food Stamps for Pets

There is currently no federal food stamp program for pets and the current food stamp program for humans may be phasing out October 2013. The U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service does try to provide for pets during emergencies, but a new donation-based program called Pet Food Stamps, though based in New York, will be providing pet food to those in need throughout the United States.
