By 2010 The Expo Light Rail Line is supposed to be up and running. The project includes two phases. The
first involving a rail connecting Downtown LA (7th St/Metro Center) to the west side's Culver City (Venice/Robertson). Phase 2 is bold enough to claim beach access, planning on running all the way to Santa Monica (see proposed stations
here).West LA is long overdue for something that resembles efficient public transportation; and it looks like that reality may begin to come about as soon as within a year. I just hope like most projects that happen in big metropolitan cities, that the timeline they are giving is somewhat accurate. If any place needs a more efficient and accessible public transit system, it's Los Angeles. I'm excited to see what lay in store.
