Full Tummy Project Feeds Homeless People's Pets
While soup kitchens, shelters and churches offer free meals for the hungry, there are very few places people can go to get food for their pets – even fewer that will offer pet boarding or affordable veterinary care. The Full Tummy Project, a program run by a local nonprofit organization called the Doglando Foundation, has taken one small step to offer a solution. They've teamed up with the Global Outreach Center to hold a regular free meal for homeless people and their animals every Thursday at 6:30 pm in Bithlo, east of Orlando.
