Fundraising for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Hello All,
I am participating in the 5th Annual Bay Area Leukemia Cup Regatta on Sunday, October 3rd at The San Francisco Yacht Club. I am doing it as a part of the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) program to raise funds to help the fight against Leukemia & Lymphoma.
My purpose for doing this is that my grandfather passed away from Leukemia, my father passed away from cancer and both my wife's parents have also passed away from cancer (as well as all her grandparents). I have been a long time supporter of this organization, and have participated in the Team in Training program a few years ago raising funds for the organization by participating in the Rock 'n' Roll marathon. I was recently introduced to this Sail for a Cure program, which I believe is a great program supporting LLS to raise funds helping find a cure and patients currently suffering with Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and Myeloma. I particulary like this organization as 75-85% of all donations go directly to finding a cure or helping families afflicted by Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and Myeloma.
The Leukemia Cup Regatta honors more than 912,938 Americans who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes and we need your support to help accelerate cures and provide hope and support for patients and their families.
Anything you can donate will be a great help. You can make a donation through my website http://gsf.regatta.llsevent.org/HafezJanssens. All donations are tax deductible. I hope you can help in raising funds for me to reach my goal.
Feel free to contact me with any questions. Many thanks for your support.
Sincerely,
Hafez Janssens
