Gallery Walkthrough for Data + Art: Science and Art in the Age of Information

Join us for a gallery walkthrough with exhibition curators Dan Goods,  Visual Strategist at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL),and David Delgado, an outreach coordinator for NASA's Mars Public Engagement Team.  "The commonly perceived boundary between art and science...is so deftly toyed with, analyzed and undermined by Data + Art," says Pasadena Weekly.  The works challenges the veiwer's assumptions by exploring the beauty inherent in scientific data and by asking the veiwer to see complexity in a new light.  Scientific data is interpreted so that the average person can see the invisible, hear the inaudible, and understand the impossibly complex.  The exhibition will be doubly illuminated and interpreted through the eyes and minds of the curators.
