Giving in a tough economy

Five years ago, I had never heard of payroll deduction or workplace giving. I would give a check here and there to charity "when solicited via a letter or phone call." With my new employer, America's Charities, not only do I help sell technology to help employers facilitate an online giving program, I participate in our own workplace giving campaign and give more money to more charities than ever before.
