Good Deeds Day

Over 70,000 individuals participated in the annual Good Deeds Day in Israel.

People painted walls for old people, cleaned up the beaches, hugged abandoned babies in hospitals and worked in soup kitchens.

One of the most exciting activities were done by over 60 volunteers who gave birthday parties to disadvantaged children who never celebrated their birthdays with a party before. Volunteers were given PARTY KITS full of games produced by the Birthday Angels Birthday Party Project, www.birthday-angels.org  and used them to facilitate parties full of fun, esteem building activities and social enhancement opportunties for the children. A birthday party costs only $36. More than 7,500 of Israel's needies children have benefitted from this Tikkun Olam project since it began in 2005.
