GOOD Event: Join Us in L.A. for a Hackathon to Help Shelter Pets
This post is brought to you by GOOD, in partnership with Purina ONE®
Hey, dog lovers! Are you a designer, coder, or a big thinker? Join us on Dec. 7-8 at GOOD HQ for the Karma Rescue Redesign, a hackathon to help shelters shine online, hosted by GOOD and Purina ONE.
Over two days, event participants will work together to brainstorm, prototype, and redesign a new website for Karma Rescue – a Los Angeles-based animal rescue group – to improve the organization’s ability to find homes for pets, reach new supporters, and engage with their community.
Join us on Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8 to ideate, create and pitch your team’s idea to a panel of judges that will include representatives from GOOD, Karma Rescue and Zeus Jones. Don’t have a team? Don’t worry – you’ll have the opportunity to meet new people and create teams on Saturday morning.
The entry fee of $10 will be donated to Karma Rescue. And while the shelter pets will certainly win from your ideas, we also have a prize for the team with the winning redesign. The winning team will receive:
- $1,000 total for the team
- A feature on good.is
- A one-year subscription to GOOD Magazine for each team member
- Coupons for a year’s supply of Purina ONE pet food for each team member
9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 8
GOOD HQ | 6380 Wilshire Blvd., 15th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90048
