Good Night Lamp: A Design That Connects Distant Friends & Family

Designer Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino wanted to find a better way to stay in touch with loved ones around the world. In her new design, now up on Kickstarter, someone can use a set of house-shaped lamps to stay in touch. When someone gets home, they can turn on the larger lamp. The smaller lamps, which can be sent to distant friends or family members, will automatically turn on and off as the larger lamp switches. It's a clever way to signal that you're home and ready for a call.
