In the fast changing world of business and technology, prospective employees sometimes need to play catch up to learn the skills that are in demand. Recognizing there is a gap between the skills recent graduates have and the skills tech companies look for in employees, Codecademy sets out to teach the practical skills that people need to get hired. Codecademy is an online platform that makes learning programming easy and accessible with lessons suitable for beginners to twenty year veterans, and everyone in between. Since anyone is able to create lessons, there is a sense of social collaboration, and users can take advantage of consuming and creating content for the web. To learn more about how Codecademy works and what inspired it, watch how co-founders Zach Sims and Ryan Bubinski are teaching the world to code.

This is the third of six videos in the Teaching for Tomorrow series, which explores learning approaches that best prepare students for the workforce of the 21st century.

Presented by Apollo Group, Teaching for Tomorrow explores education, innovation and technology in schools through original videos and infographics.
