Growing Local @The Convention Center, New Orleans - Tulane School of Architecture Fall 2012 Design Projects

The purpose of Growing Local is to build a farm facility in downtown New Orleans that combines innovative recirculating farming with certain aspects of traditional soil growing to provide a center for research, training, and demonstration of how these techniques can contribute to rebuilding a sustainable, healthy food culture throughout the U.S. With an overwhelming lack of affordable, accessible, healthy, fresh food inmany communities nationwide, the need for this project is significant.
