Tom Hanks ‘Offended’ By Donald Trump’s Comments About Women

He has a great metaphor for why he supports Hillary

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s presidential bid is in a death spiral after a video was released last week that showed him bragging about sexually assaulting women. Trump would go on to dismiss his comments as mere “locker room talk.” But since the video’s release, over a dozen women have come forward saying they were sexually assaulted by Trump. None of this sits well with actor Tom Hanks who made his thoughts known in a recent interview.

While sitting down with the Press Association to discuss his latest film, “Inferno,” Hanks rebuked Trump’s claim that his comments were simply locker room talk. “He was at work, man. He wasn’t in a locker room. He was at work. He was showing up to do a thing on camera,” Hanks told the Press Association. “Look... I’m offended as a man. I’m not offended as a husband or a father. I’m offended as a guy.” And all men should be. Trump’s “locker room” comment implied the disgusting and false notion that men routinely bash women when speaking in private.

Hanks also had a perfect metaphor for describing why Trump is completely unqualified to hold the office of president. “It’s kind of like if you have a horrible, painful tooth, and you need a root canal. Who are you going to see? A guy who says, ‘Oh, I think I can figure that out, how to do a root canal for you. Lay down,’ ” Hanks said. “Or are you going to see somebody who’s done 6,000 of them. Has a degree on the wall and has a great history and expertise when it comes down to it.”
