Help TreePeople to Restore the Resilience of the Santa Monica Mountains

With extreme weather on our minds, we wonder: what makes a city resilient? A major factor is whether that city is surrounded by a healthy ecosystem, one that can absorb and cleanse rainwater and provide a buffer against flooding. North of Los Angeles, TreePeople has been working to restore the native plants and trees of the sprawling, biodiverse Santa Monica Mountains ecosystem. Planting season has just begun, and there are events nearly every weekend. http://www.treepeople.org/calendar/2012-11
